Volunteer Position Description
Noongar Radio is looking to form a team of volunteers that are passionate about music, art and culture to drive our radio station’s music programming and highlight new music and emerging artists from First Nations, local and Australian backgrounds.
Roles: – To use Noongar Radio’s existing relationships with record labels and music distribution providers to source new music and add it to Noongar Radio’s rotation – To develop relationships with artists, music industry bodies and record labels – To organize music-based interviews for our Breakfast & Drive programs -To coordinate the playlists for a new First Nations music program on Noongar Radio Hours: 4-5 hrs per week with additional opportunities for live broadcasts and potential invites to music industry events and concerts. |

Noongar Radio is Boorloo’s (Perth’s) only First Nations community radio station, we are a unique broadcaster in our city and play an important role in the community. This position is open to everybody who would like to contribute to our mission, both Indigenous and non-Indigenous people.
Skills required This is an entry-level position and appropriate in-house training will be provided. There may also be the option of additional accredited or professional training in the future. The only required skills are basic computer skills, a passion for music and a desire to learn. |
