The Deaths in Custody Watch Committee will be holding a protest against all-white juries outside of the Parliament House on April 7.
Committee Chair Desmond Blurton told Noongar Radio that all-white juries can perpetuate unjust outcomes in the justice system.
“They are unjust, racist, and in a fair society we cannot tolerate this as First Nations people,” he told the Breakfast show with Mark Patrick.
“We’ve got to stand in solidarity to let the politicians and police know that we’ve had enough of this.”
“We’ve got to get our mob onto these juries to have a say in the decision making.”
