Northam Primary School has been on a Noongar journey thanks to Noongar Language Teacher Lizzie Stack, who has been teaching Noongar language to the kids of Northam Primary School for the last two years now.

Along with teaching the kids language, Ms Stack also works as the Aboriginal and Islander Development Officer at Northam Primary. Lizzie also helped establish a six seasons garden, which helps educate kids by teaching them which plants are edible along with how to care for native plants.

Northam Primary School also recently opened a yarning circle with a smoking ceremony, in which Jonathan Garlett, Daniel Garlett and Daniel Garlett Junior performed the ceremony.

Lizzie joined Mark on breakfast to chat about all the positive things Northam Primary has been doing to help kids connect to country, before giving a big shout out to all her Noongar language teaching colleagues as well.
